Coming Home; or Parole

by George McFatridge

There is no need to worry about coming home if you are walking with the Lord Jesus Christ in your Heart.

Continue to read your Bible and find you a church home.  Get with people who are in the Word of God and Walking the Walk.  You will know them because their walk speaks louder than their words.

Your choices will determine what happens to you and that is why it is important to stay in the Word and find a good church. Listen to the Holy Spirit and let him guide you through each and every day.

Your past will not be a problem if you are walking with the Lord.  He opens doors that no one else can and when he closes a door it cannot be opened.

Establish a daily routine by starting the day with Prayer and Reading Scripture. Start with 5 to 10 minutes each day.  Thank the Lord for everything, and then read Scripture.

Make sure to talk to the Senior Pastor let him know all about you; leave nothing out, especially about your past.  Next Ask the Pastor to help you find a good person in the church to mentor you.  Talk to Him/her and pray with them at least once a day. Take time to study with them, and be honest with them at all times.  They are there to help you.

If you are on Parole realize that if you work with your parole Officer honestly and follow the rules that you can make it.

Now that you are home you need to have Honor and integrity in your Character; that comes with giving your life over to the Lord completely and walking daily in His word.  We are here to help don’t be afraid.   I am hoping that this conveys to those returning home that we are here to help you begin a changed life.

17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV)
