Some of the things that I have been hearing in the job lines:
1. I won’t flip burgers it doesn’t pay enough and I have a degree.
2. I know more than the manager
3. That job is beneath me.
4. I won’t sign up unless they pay me $18.00 per hour.
5. The job is too dirty.
6. I clean up enough at home.
7. They won’t hire me because I don’t have my Diploma
These are all excuses because you don’t want to work.
There have been many men who started with and 8th grade education and several have since become billionaires.
Some couldn’t get the job they wanted so they created their own Job using their God given Talents.
Many people have made a business of being a Handyman, Lawn care, artist, arts and crafts, mechanics, Car wash Detailer, Unloading trucks, Cook (create your own hot dog or hamburger stand).
If it doesn’t work, don’t give up on the idea, go to the next idea.
Sad thing is that there at least 1,000 – 3,000 applicants for each job and $7.50/hour is better $0.00 per hour.
If you get a chance to start a job, any job that you are physically able to do, and that is almost all of them, take it and be happy. Work as if you are working for the Lord because you are. That job was a gift to begin your journey forward. By working at this job beyond the boss’s expectation will lead to better jobs with better pay.
When I finally left the military I started a Job for $3.25/ hour, and I worked 12-18 hours a day to pay my tithes, put food on the table roof over my head, clothes on our bodies, paid the utilities, Gas in the car and occasionally treated to a night at the Whatburger once a month. Never once did we ever go without, there was always food on the table, roof over our heads and we always had a little left over.
Stop making excuses, and stop with the pity party; neither one puts food on the table.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)
19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (NKJV)
